I decided to wait a bit before I did this haul as I really wanted to give these products a good go and see if they were great or awful and give you guys my own experiences with them.
(NB: uploading this blog with my phone so photos may be out of order but you'll get the idea)
1. Barry M Nail Paint in 296 Coral.
This polish has now become one of my favourite nail polishes. It has become one if my summer staples. It is a very opaque polish, one coat is enough. It dries in five minutes. It doesn't chip straightaway, it will take a couple of days. I have always felt Barry M did great nail polishes and this one didn't disappoint. It cost €2.95 in Superdrug
2. Barry M Nail Paint in 306 Blueberry Ice Cream.
Again this was another great Barry M polish. It is very opaque, again one coat is enough. This is a great polish to add a hint of summer to any outfit. Like the coral nail polish this has become one of favourite nail polishes. €2.95 in Superdrug.
3. Essence Colour and Go nail polish in 43 "Where is the party?".
This is a very unusual colour it can look either green or purple or both. I like this polish but it takes a good bit if time to dry and it chips fairly easily it would add a rock chick element to your outfit. It was €1.29 in Penneys.
(the picture will not do the colour justice)
4. GOSH X-Ceptional wear foundation in 1.1 Porcelain.
I find GOSH products to be very overpriced but this foundation was only €9.99 in Superdrug. It is a lightweight foundation with a light to semi medium coverage but it is buildable. This foundation matched my skin almost perfectly but is still a touch too dark. I really like this foundation but I find the claim that it is long lasting a pile of bull. You need to top up your foundation every couple of hours. I have very dry skin and I found this foundation didn't highlight that.
5. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.
I love lip balm and this is my favourite lip balm ever. It was €4 in boots and thought at the time it was a bit expensive compared to my tin of Vaseline which I adored. However when I used this lip balm I felt moisturising my lips straight away. The peppermint smell is lovely. It contains all natural products, so no harsh chemicals. I love this product and I want to try more burts bees products.
6. Revlon Colourstay 12 hour eyeshadow in 01 Pure Pearl.
This was €1.50 in Dealz (Irish version of poundland) I use it as a highlighter and base shadow. It very pigmented there is not a lot of fallout. Its a great white shadow, I find with some white shadows you have to really layer it to get any colour and with this one you don't.
7. Essence Liquid Liner.
Leanne Woodfull of Thunder and Threads Blog raved about what a great liquid liner this was and she made me want to try it. As girl who loves the pinup make up with the winged liner I have tried so many liners, this liner is one of the best; once it's on it stays on, but it is easy to remove. The applicator is great too, slightly pointed to gain whatever thickness you want. I would recommend it to any girl who loves there liner. This was €2.50 in Penneys.
8. Maybelline Eye studio lasting drama gel liner.
I have used this gel liner before and I really liked it but I find when you apply you have to give it time to dry and that is really annoying. When I put on my liner I want to be able to run out the door and do whatever. When it does dry it will stay put for the day and a little goes a long way. The brush that comes with it is very good and I find myself reaching for it instead of my other brushes to apply the liner. This was around €9 in Superdrug. This liner is on par with the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner.
9. Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer in 1 fair.
This is the best concealer I have ever used. It's lightweight but gives brilliant coverage on blemishes. The packaging is simple, the writing/label rubs of so mine looks a bit grubby. The doe foot applicator is not hygienic so I apply the concealer with the doe foot on the back of my hand. This concealer rivals the mac concealers (for me personally). It was around €6 in Superdrug.
10. Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Liner in Black.
I was disappointed with this liner; it smudges very easily, I find when I apply this close to my bottom lash line is starts moving downwards and I have very dry skin so it didn't move due to oily skin. One pro of this kohl liner is its staying power, it will last all day even if it not in the same place you put it. It was around €7 in Superdrug.
11. Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner in Black.
I was disappointed with this liner as it is very watery it takes a couple of coats to build colour otherwise it looks grey. The felt tip part is not sturdy enough it's a bit to flimsy. Overall I wouldn't buy this liner again and I wouldn't this use as often as the other liners I bought. This was around €8 in Superdrug.
12. Avon Glimmerstick Eye Liner in Cosmic Brown.
I've never really used brown eyeliners as I always loved black but I wanted to try one. I bought this in the Avon sale for around €3. It gives a subtle hint of definition when applied on your waterline. Personally I started using it as a brow pencil and it works great for me as a brow pencil; using very light strokes I can fill in brows and they don't look drawn on. I know Avon do Glimmerstick brow pencils and I want I try them but this works great for me.
13. Avon Glimmerstick Lip Liner in pink bouquet.
This is a lip liner I fell in love with from the first moment I used it. When applied it gives you "your lips but better" kind of colour. It was €3 in the Avon sale. It feels a little drying on the lips so I apply my burts bees lip balm before and after I use it.
14. Avon Naturals Vanilla Shakes Body Lotion.
I love body lotions in general especially ones with a gorgeous scent. This body lotion has the most delicious smelling vanilla scent. The lotion itself is very moisturising. The scent lingers on the skin hours after application. It was €2 in the Avon sale. The packaging is very cute it reminds of the Yop drink. The catalogue even has a warning that it's not a real milkshake.
15. Avon Extra Lasting Lipstick in Eternal Flame.
This is a dupe for Mac's Russian Red. It has good staying power. It was €4 in the Avon sale. It's moisturising on the lips.
